Fabian,

Thank you for both the working solution and the excellent explanation.
From my testing so far, it is working exactly as intended, which is to
say that all images load with no delay and the log occasionally shows

  Redirect: Rewrite detected: CONNECT is.4chan.org:443 HTTP/1.1
  Request: is.4chan.org:443/

While not affected since I don't use Tor, every instance of having to
use specific - especially proprietary - software in order to use
technology based on standards is wrong.
