[Privoxy-users] Can privoxy use system proxy?

Hi Mingheng, 

So far as I know this is not possible, but can you explain what is the benefit of that other software? It's not obvious to me what is useful in randomising the local proxy's port for HTTP/S communication. If the software is extensible you could have it reconfigure Privoxy dynamically to match the selected port, but again I don't see what this achieves.
